I have just returned from the most wonderful celebration of my 30th birthday in Thailand. I was so blessed to be invited to stay at Le Méridien in Chiang Mai and was spoilt rotten. Where do I begin? The amazing dinner I enjoyed at Favola with a bespoke menu by Chef Filippo for my birthday (more on that to come) or the afternoon lounging by the pool with a view of Doi Suthep and what felt like the entire mountain range of Thailand’s North or my skin brightening spa treatment or my amazing stay in the Diplomatic Suite for 6 blissful nights (a great video room tour of the suite is coming soon).

I have videos and blogs coming up on this amazing time in Thailand’s handicrafts capital (how perfect for this blog!) and will share more to come but here are some photos of my experiences in and around the hotel. The image at the amazing oriental painted door where I am holding mangoes was taken at the Sunday market on Walking Street just a stone’s throw from the Le Méridien, which is very centrally located and just 15 minutes from the airport.

As with all of my blogs recently, there is no retouching or airbrush in these shots. So the room looks as great as this and the light around the room at sunset is exactly as you see it in these pictures. Check out the Royal Suite below:

Special thanks to Paula Fitzgerald and Le Méridien Chaing Mai for the images.
